ABC Studios is a global leader in the development, production and distribution of entertainment content across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms. Responsible for hit shows like “Grey’s Anatomy,” “How to Get Away with Murder,” “Station 19,” “The Good Doctor,” “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and late-night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,”"

Having worked with both Walt Disney and ESPN on and off for a number of years, I was eager to within the Disney network again, this time with  "abc studios". The project was to work on a new house brand style for all of their European hubs, across print and digital assets.

Then once all of these assets were designed to create a beautiful coffee table styleguide that felt good to use.

The Assets

Working alongside a strategy team, we dissected what was required and rebuilt all the assets from the ground up, creating rules and a positional grid structure to ensure the templates were easy to use and work in practice.

The Styleguide

After all the assets were created, we took to creating the styleguide. Split into two halves the front section finished in a quality heavy glossed stock talking about the brand and all of the shows on offer. The second half on a more durable stock, set up to instruct and set out the rules for the asset usage.

The final container was finished in a beautiful soft touch varnish with gloss spot varnish over the logo.
