Every year Sky celebrate Black History Month throughout October. This year I was tasked with creating a bright bold celebratory brand and design system. Starting with a design that shows a huge range of content across various mediums, It also needed to have the flexibility to be updated across the month by various teams and to shine a light on the various pillars to celebrate the great range of black history.
Broken down into 3 main pillars : History Makers | Innovators | Barrier Breakers
The client wanted something new, away for its usual 3 panel split. So I developed a design based on using portrait and landscape key arts, as part of the system I wanted a larger feature hero tile, so a spot light could be put on one show while the rest of the tiles showed range.
